How safe is Chrome to cook? We're getting mixed messages …?
We have an old O'Keefe and Merritt stove with built sheet in the middle of the burners. Years ago, in the same early 90's, my mother took the iron have emerged, and after she had paid man who said he had used chromium, so it would not be able to cook in it. However, recently we've been seeing a lot of chrome Kitchenware, so I wonder if the man really knew what he was talking about, or can finally begin to cook on it. I'm not questioning the safety of chromium cookware – I was more wondering if it might be a different type of chromium.
chrome kitchen usually has a layer of enamel or zinc to protect the chrome corrosion. Chromium used uncured. So, unfortunately, can not cook with it. Delicious!
