EXTRA baking small cakes (2, 3, 4, and 5 inches r?
I'm trying to do what amounts to a very small wedding cake. Pans bought are size 2, 3, 4, and 5-inch rounds that are 2 inches deep. My test of the first race this afternoon was more than a disaster. First Instead it seems more "filled them and spread all over the place. Then I did the toothpick test to see if it did, the 4-inch came out clean, but when I returned face down on the cooling rack in the center was liquid. Does anyone have experience baking cakes of this size that could give me some advice? I would appreciate something you can get to this point. Sometimes the temperature (because apparently 350 is too high for these cakes), nothing at all. Thank you very much!
Hhmmm what about baking a cake in a mold and use normal rounds of cake, biscuits and things kind of cut. Do not try to smash through the cake rounds, only rest the small round cake and use knife to cut thin saw the silhouette. Frost with thin "crumb coat" of frosting to seal the loose crumbs.
