are Stainless Steel Pots and pans safe to use?
After I read about Teflon pans and peeling into the foods being bad for you, I decided to switch to stainless steels. I wanted to know if its good and perfectly safe to use. Since we didn't have much money, I bought the Stainless Steel Pans cheap target. This is the stainless steel and Chefmate Casserole Chefmate stove. The plate costs $ 9.99 and fryin pan cost $ 14.99. the mark is chefmate utensils. As it was not surprising that I loved if its good & completely safe to use. Or am I better go back there and do something a little more? All advice will be greatly appreciated.
It will be perfectly safe to use, and the pan will work fine. I'm not familiar with the brand, however, and at this price the stove can be of questionable and not so easy to use. Hmmm – Target site shows he has the glass lids that I hate. They will break one day, then you will not have a lid. Check the label to see what he says about how and what the pan is made. Stainless steel is not the best conductor of heat, So the best brands have a background that has copper or aluminum sandwiched between stainless steel and are thicker. If it does not say he has that kind of background, it is not likely. This is a point of sale and the manufacturers do not want you to know that if it's true. Check out the really expensive stuff to get an idea of what looks like and feel, and buy as close to the best you can afford. Sometimes spending a little more gets you a product far superior, and since good quality stove will last for many years (I have one over 30 years) unless you seriously abuse, you might as well have something that works properly for another 10 or 15 dollars. If you have a Target store around, you probably have a Winners store too, and they often have some very good deals on cookware Kitchen. There is also a good old cast iron look, it needs some care, but cooks very well and will last you the rest of your life, and they say that it adds also a little iron to your diet is a good thing.
