** Has anyone bought or used the new "pan green?
I just saw an ad in a nonstick skillet HSN called "The Green Pan ". Is supposed to be much more heat tolerant and does not decompose as Teflon. I think I heard that has a ceramic coating, but in line after the main sales pitch, so I do not hear the details. Its also supposed to be light, which is a selling point for me. Do any of the major chefs and cooks who write in this space, you hear about this new or used "Wonder Bread"? Is it worth getting? I would have some French fries home well, but do not want to use a nonstick skillet, over very high. I was thinking of getting a cast iron skillet, but they are so heavy. Any comments Welcome on this mold. Thank you very much.
Last summer I bought a set and I returned after a couple of weeks. The nonstick coating made at the beginning, but their performance deteriorated rapidly. Within a couple of weeks, the mold used most had completely lost its nonstick properties and another was quickly following suit. They became more difficult to clean the pans and put everything to them. One other complaint I had with the pans are the handles, dangerously hot very quickly. On a side note, keep in mind that a lot of fake reviews have been posted throughout the Internet on the merits of this product. So take overly positive reviews with a grain of salt.
