Is it always better to get dressed ammunition rimfire copper for a 22?
Maybe I read to stay far from all-lead bullets because they lack barrels easily. Is this true?
Here is another view that many of you might not like. The copper balls 22 Long Rifle is just a wash, not a jacket. All .22 Long Rifle bullets are pure lead, or almost. You can wash the scrape with a fingernail. Try it. The metal reveals is that brilliant lead. All this talk about the origin of 0.22 ammunition unwashed loads of dirt is probably the result of corrosion, pitted barrels. N .22 Long Rifle load, even the so-called high-speed turns, pushes the ball fast enough to cause lead contamination in a well abstracted, damaged bore. If you find dirt, you have other problems. Lead bullets can be pushed to 1400 fps in a gun without good leadership. In the center fire guns in speed can go up to about 2,000 fps with bullets alloyed with tin and equipped with a gas check on the base to avoid the gas cuts. N .22 Long Rifle working pressure and speed remotely close to these levels. I have fired tens of thousands of rounds of .22 Long Rifle ammunition in practice and in competition with rifle and pistol without experiencing the first described in other posts on this thread. In fact, I pulled all the small-caliber season in 1974 NCAA without cleaning of the soul of my Anschutz 1411, which could put 10 rounds at 50 feet through a hole slightly larger than a single bullet 0.22. Each round was to match quality, which means not a round has a copper wash. There was no foreground, never throughout the season. I just fired a pistol shot 60-week game with my High Standard Victor. Yet once I did not clean the bore through the season. There was no leader. In the last match of this week, I shot a 92 and 94 on low heat for 50 yards. When I had an X, I got an X, so that Victor draws and now as it was when the season began in April. If Please do not lecture me care about good gun. I do not clean the bore because .22 Long Rifle bullets do not leave copper in the hole behind it there is no risk of corrosion caused by dissimilar metals, which is the main cause of pitting in center fire rifles and handguns. No danger with lead and steel, even if the initiative succeeded in the plate bore a mysterious way. Priming .22 in non-corrosive ammunition has been reliable for over 60 years. My arms have a good conservation of moisture and humidity. Cleansing of the soul slightly changes the zero until a few shots were fired, if I leave the bore uncleaned because I can not take shots fouling competition game. Now that the season is over, the bore is cleaned: Low. Online If your soul is in good condition condition, you should be able to shoot any decent .22 ammunition without a leader. If you intend to shoot again soon, this is not a tragedy if you do not clean the bore, but whether it will be awhile, I run some patches through.
