Gross question about doing the dishes?
So, my boyfriend gave me his big pot a few weeks ago. I made macaroni and cheese with her … and somehow forgot. He sits quietly in my kitchen for about 2 weeks. I noticed it sitting there, but I Forgot there was nothing in it and I thought it was clean (because it was hidden by a cover). Now I do the dishes, but I am really disgusted by the mold. I rinsed with water as I could, but it smells so bad that I put aside momentarily. What is the best way to clean and disinfect the pot? Should I just rub it by hand with regular dish soap, then paste in the dishwasher? Or is there a better way to disinfect? I'm not that if the pot is dishwasher safe, because it is made of a different material my other Cooking Utensils. Help !?!?????
Fill the pot with warm water and add a generous amount of soap powder organic soak for at least 24 hours with the lid, then wash as usual. Do not risk putting it in a dishwasher unless you are prepared to replace.
