Is that even porcelain enamel cast iron cookware enamel?
I'm wanting to replace a stove enamel pot that is become chipped over the years. Looking in the stores, some glazed pots seem heavier than the others. Is it different enameled cast iron Porcelain Enamel? Useful information and advice appreciated. If they are different, what are the advantages and disadvantages of each? All recommendations brand? Thank you to everyone who took the time to answer. I do not want to sound ungrateful, but none of the answers so far are just as informative as I hoped to help me decide what type of stove to buy. No, there no difference. It is enameled cast iron and enameled steel. Some kitchen utensils have an enamel coating on the inside too.
