Maximum Temperature Pyrex?
I have a self-cleaning oven, which reaches about 500 degrees when in the middle of the cycle. I usually put my stove top steel grates and steel hob for one cycle and the clean, or at least bakes a perfect cleaning. I wanted to know is to keep to put my Pyrex baking utensils and burning all the grime. It will be a temperature of 500 degrees weaken the glass at all if left to cool at room temperature?
Here is a link to the website of Pyrex, which has a number of safety precautions. If you can not find the answer here is an 800 number you can call toll-free at the top of the page.
