What is this pan used for?

I thought it was for making sandwiches but it’s the wrong shape for regular bread. The pan was made by Super Maid Cook-ware. Obviously I found the item for sale at goodwill.

It just looks like something old fashioned and specialized. My mother first thought it might be a bed warmer, but it’s made by a cookware company.

The pan is 12″ long and 4″ wide, not counting the handle.

It looks like an omelet pan. Probably from the early 50′s. I like your mothers guess, but a bed warmer would have a very long single handle.
Take a look at this one… it’s identical.
