As the paint Lead was not used, it is perfectly safe. Is the manufacturer a good reputation? If so, they check the quality and issue a recall if there was found to have lead paint in them, which would normally occur in a few weeks at most. The biggest thing to remember is that only 1-2 manufacturers are responsible for contaminated toys …. they were small businesses that earn a lot of money and found it worthwhile to commit crime (against the law and against others). Any large company would be to lose most or all of their activities if they knowingly contaminated one of their products and lead paint is something you should really go out of your way to contaminate something with it.
